Gryphon Ring Saw

by on Jul.07, 2011, under Blog

I purchased a Gryphon Ring Saw in April, 2011. The Gryphon Ring Saw has made it possible to cut out glass pattern pieces which are very difficult to cut by hand, because of the shape, or type of glass. For instance, Youghiogheny Ripple water glass, in a large complicated shape, was possible to cut , without concern for  the glass breaking. I can utilize much more of a sheet of glass by using the saw, with less chance of breaking the glass.  The saw is very easy to use, clean, and maintain. I like that the lower section of the saw is covered, protecting the belt, blade, and wheels from glass particles. There is a large work surface, making it possible to cut larger sheets of glass. The cost of replacement parts such as the blades are less expensive then other brands of Ring Saws. The belt and blade are also easier to take off and on, then other Ring Saws I have used. I would recommend purchasing a Gryphon Ring Saw to other stained glass artists, mosaic artists, and other related crafts. I also found the people at Gryphon Corporation to be friendly, patient, and helpful.
